Registry

Hello Everyone,

Steven and I have registered at Bed Bath and Beyond in the U.S. The website is www.bedbathandbeyond.com. Go to the bridal and gift registry tab and then to find a registry. Enter Marcy White or Steven Dunphy in the first and last name boxes. Our wedding date is August 21, 2010.

From there, go ahead and choose whichever gift you'd like. We would like to have ALL gifts shipped to our house in Calgary. You have 2 options to do this:

1.Have the gift shipped to you first and then ship to our address in Calgary yourself
OR
2.Call 1-800-GO-BEYOND (1-800-462-3966) and have a customer service rep. manually order the gift for you and change the shipping address to our Calgary address. The customer service rep. has to place the order for you and put the shipping address as Calgary.

Also, Canadian citizens, you may not be able to order from the U.S. site because they said the website may not accept a Canadian billing address. If you try to order a gift online at the U.S. website and it will not work, call 1-800-GO-BEYOND (1-800-462-3966) and place your order, then follow the directions in number 2 above.

Our address in Calgary is:
Steven and Marcy Dunphy
192 Mt. Aberdeen Circle SE
Calgary, AB T2Z 3H4

If you have any questions at all, please email Marcy at marcy.white@hotmail.com or call her at 1-406-471-7413.

Thank you and sorry for the difficulty! We have to have the gifts shipped to us because we cannot cross the border with the gifts without paying duty on all of them!

Thanks!

Accomodations

Hi Everyone~
I was once sitting in an Entertainment Management class of about 150 people, listening to a lecture about how everyone should be blogging, on Twitter, or other online social networks. The speaker, who was some big wig from LA, said that if you dont blog or are not on Twitter...you'll never make it in the entertainment industry. Now, for most of you have met me already, you probably have found that I'm not very afraid to speak my mind and share my opinion, even if it does make me look like a fool. So I raised my hand and simply said, "I disagree with that statement, sir, some people are just not bloggers or tweeters. I, for one, am not in to that whole scence, and would never even update my blog or Twitter account." So they went on and on about it and I looked really dumb in front of everyone. But...anyway, the point of this little story... We havent even updated this blog since January, so... I think I proved my point to that speaker!

Ok, were sending out invitations soon! I'm in the process of putting the invitations together, which includes putting 3 pieces together and then tying them together with 2 bows. So I get about 7 done per hour. Might take a while! But in the meanwhile, I wanted to let everyone know about our accomodations for the wedding:

We have entered into a contract with Marina Cay Resort in Bigfork, Montana. Many of our friends and family, and us of course, will be staying here. We hope to have everyone stay at Marina Cay so that we can party and get to know everyone before the wedding day. So, we have a room block agreement to provide a certain number of rooms at a discounted price and a 2 night minimum stay. Many of our guest have already booked and have taken most of the Courtyard Standard Rooms, so there may not be anymore available. If you want to read more about the room types the website is www.marinacay.com , enter the website, click site map at the bottom of the page, and then accomodations. The Ridge rooms are brand new and are extremely nice. All of the rooms have been updated (except the courtyard standard rooms). There is a 7% Montana bed tax per night. To make a reservation call
1-800-433-6516 and make sure you book with the White/Dunphy wedding party. At the time of booking, 50% deposit is due. Rooms have to be booked by June 25, 2010, and once they're all booked, they're gone! So get em while they're hot!

....Continued.

Yep, better let dad take it from here....

Firstly we werent "obnoxious", we were colorful, vibrant, lively, and of course the life of the party. But Marcy was right, we didnt sit across from each other, i had the pleasure of sitting across one lovely Ms. Erin Miller, to the left of her was the stunning Adria Parkhill and to the right of her was the most gorgeous blonde haired girl i had ever seen ( a very "snooty" gorgeous blonde haired girl may i add).
But not to re-tell what has already been said i will carry on.

After dinner was done and a few bottles have wine had be consumed it was time to carry on with the evening. Naturally us Canucks dont shut the party down after dinner so it was back to the hotel to get ready for a long night a head of us. The offer was put out to the girls but it was only Marcy and Erin who chose to engage in dibotury with their four new found Northerly friends.

Marcy was wearing a white longsleave, brown designer jacket, high heals and painted on Rockin' Republic jeans (i'll never forget it). Her and Erin came to meet us at our hotel, which later became our second home for all our Missoula roadies throughout our time at Montana Tech. Anyways Marcy and Erin came to the hotel with their drinkin' faces on and the second part of the evening began, thankfully Marcy left her attitude that she had over dinner at the door of the hotel upon their entrance. We left the hotel after putting down a few more beverages and went to a place called the Iron Horse (i think). That could be wrong but i remember we had these drinks that she loved. Marcy was a much more chatty and much more friendly (she must of started to notice all my muscles and heart melting smile), anyways it was time to leave and walk to the next bar. On the way i could see she was cold, my male instinct kicked in and my conscience yelled "STEVE! WAKE UP, GIVE HER YOUR COAT!" Well actually was a Carhart Hoodie ( Classy, i know), but either way it was off my back and on to her. I persisted that I wasnt cold and that it was merely suntanning weather where i came from, but if you have ever walked around downtown Missoula at the end of January at 11:00pm you know its anything but warm. Either way we walked side by side (Marcy says we held hands but i dont remember) to the next bar the Mo Club, great turkey gizzard by the way. More shots went down and things became a tad more cozier. It was at this bar that we held hands and i knew, or at least i thought i knew, i was making some headway.

More drinks went down and the night started to get a little messy, especially since some of my fellow oil rig friends were down, if you havent heard righands have somewhat of a reputation...Anyways the next and last bar was visited. Somewhere between the Mo Club and the bar where we were at some distance was put between Marc and Me, probably because the alcohol consumtion was red lined. Once we arrived Marcy still had my hoodie on and gave it to the bartender so i didnt have to carry it around all night. From here my memory is a little foggy of the evening but i do remember the end of the night, or so what i thought was the end of the night. Marcy told me that she was leaving because she was tired and drunk and it was time to go to bed. I said good night to her but stayed at the bar with the boys and continued to drink the night away.

This part deserves its own paragraph

It wasnt 20 minutes after i said goodnight to Marcy when i came walking around the corner of the bar to tally up another double whiskey water when low and behold who was back at the bar, hand in hand with another guy....Marcy.

I guess it was safe to say the loud obnoxious Canadian didnt make the cut that night.

Steven and Marcy....Our first encounter

Marcy's side of the story...Sometime in January of 2009, Mike Baldwin, who is friends with my little brother Mitchell, got a hold of me and told me that there was this guy I just had to meet. At the time I was not intersted and definitely did not want to meet some wild Canadian who was going to school in Butte. I was finishing up my senior year at The University of Montana in Missoula and was not looking for Mike to hook me up with anyone. Mike insisted that I go to dinner with these guys when they came to Missoula for a little "roadie" as Steven would call it. So I called a few of my girlfriends and begged them to go to dinner with me. So Erin, Adria, and Randi came along with me for my first meeting.

As we arrived at the Outback Steakhouse, the Holiday Inn van pulled up and a bunch of loud guys came pouring out the doors. I saw Mike jump out of the van, and thought "Crap, this is them." We finally got a table and not one minute after we sat Steven was already yelling "Well lets get a couple a bottles of wine boys..." This is where the fun began...

Steven and I were seated across from eachother, but not directly. We did not talk the entire time we were at dinner, and to be honest I thought he was so obnoxious, and I think he could tell that I was not into him!

By the end of the night everyone was feelin the wine, and the guests around us were all staring because all these guys from Canada were SO loud! As we left the Outback we decided to take the party downtown, and as the night went on, Steven and I began to talk and click a bit more.

And this is where Steven has to cut in and finish our first night story because I have a terrible memory....take it away babe!
